NOVELTY
Olive Oil: TO LADI

To Ladi is a great Greek olive oil offered in a beautiful slender 750ml bottle, in dark green glass for protection against light, closed with a cork sealed with a beautiful yellow wax. This is an excellent extra virgin olive oil, made with olives of the Koroneiki variety, region of Kalamata. A high quality oil produced artisanally for over 7 generations by the Nikolopoulos family, with olive trees that are over 500 years old and are productive every two years. "The mill is old. We do everything by hand, so it keeps all its properties organic. Often, the oil's acidity is negligible, " says Voula Nikolopoulos, who sells it on behalf of her father. The oil is mildly robust, velvety, exhibits a fruity taste with a slightly peppery flavor in finish. The bouquet is grassy, fresh and fruity. Consume preferably in salads, on vegetables or steamed fish, or grilled meat to retain all its flavor.

The above is an Excerpt from February 2007.
